WERNER

10/10! Can not recommend Charlotte enough!

She was extremely supportive and understanding of our situation with wanting to create a safe and happy environment for our dog and growing toddler. Charlotte’s phone calls and visit were very thorough and she always made herself available for follow ups and questions.

I feel much more confident at reading cues from my dog sooner and more effectively.
Thank you Charlotte for all your help!

MAGGIE

We employed Charlotte to help us learn how to train our ‘Covid’ puppy Maggie, a Beaglier. At first we did the sessions on Zoom, due the government restrictions at the time. Then when restrictions eased, Charlotte came for ‘in-person’ sessions. Sometimes she would work with Maggie in conjunction with the whole family and other times she would take Maggie for training one-on-one, when we were unable to join in.

We found Charlotte to be very knowledgeable, exceptionally thoughtful and patient, open to any questions, and extremely kind and gentle with our precious pup! Maggie loved it when Charlotte arrived at our house and responded to her training and commands really well.

Charlotte is not the ‘old-school’ type of ’treat-‘em-mean’ training, but is well versed in the ways of our canine friends and she obviously adores animals. As a result, she developed a beautiful relationship with Maggie, and her example and explanations helped us to do the same. I highly recommend Charlotte to anyone with a new pup!

BEAR

We reached out to Charlotte within a few weeks of adopting our rescue dog Bear. We had fallen in love with Bear, but due to how badly he had been treated before the rescue charity had saved him, we knew there would be a few issues we would have work through/or resolve. However, Bear was much more dog reactive than we were initially told and had never been walked on a lead before, so quickly realised we needed some help.

We spoke to a few trainers beforehand and none of them seemed to have the expertise with rescue dogs that Charlotte did. After the initial consultation with Charlotte, we were put at ease and felt confident with a clear plan on how to help Bear. We can now walk past a dog on the other side of the street without Bear growling or being uncontrollable. This is a huge improvement compared to when we got him.

BENTLEY

I just wanted to write a quick email to say thank you for all your help throughout 2015 with Bentley and I. It’s amazing how much of a different dog Bentley is. Every walk we go on now is enjoyable for both of us, no stress or anxiety at either end of the lead. Bentley has come through in leaps and bounds and loves going to school every Saturday. He gets very grumpy/sulky if class is cancelled hehe, but is easily cheered up when we head out for a different adventure. Thank you once again for helping me, make the right decisions for Bentley.  I hope you have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

GEMMA

Charlotte speaks dog. From the first time our dog Gemma met Charlotte there was a mutual respect. She understands them, has a deep connection with them and shows incredible manners when it comes to interacting with them. In turn, they respond to her incredibly positively, setting up a beautiful training environment.

We soon realised Charlotte needed to train us more than Gem – and she did. She helped us understand the ins and outs of dealing with dogs with high anxiety (as our dog has high anxiety) and how best to help them learn good habits and set them up for a positive training experience and real change.

She worked with us and Gemma to implement all the suggestions she had made. She gave us incredible resources to work with outside of our training sessions and followed up to make sure we were on track regularly.

Charlotte’s care for dogs goes much deeper than a calling as a trainer. It is obvious to us that when she takes on clients she really invests her time and energy in to their wellbeing for as long as she is in contact with them. Under Charlotte’s guidance, our terrified border collie when from full shutdown mode near busy streets to being able to take cues from us and feeling secure and able to negotiate streets she had never been able to walk down before. I would recommend Charlotte to anyone and everyone with a dog. Even if you don’t know it yet, you need her in your life.”

RUBY

Tonight is our last puppy school – so I just wanted to write and say how much the kids, puppy and I have learnt and how great the experience is and has been for all of us. Training a puppy is hard work and relentless. Some days Ruby seems impossible, but we are getting there and she is learning every day. One day she may even come back, first time, every time…She is excellent at ‘sit’! Thank you for your endless patience, especially with the kids, they have loved every minute.

And I do think it really helped having you come over to our place before the course, as the children were then able to come to puppy school feeling confident and knowing you and having taught Ruby a few tricks too. It gave them a really good start!

And thanks for the specific advice, to give treats when we pick Ruby up etc., to avoid bad behaviour before it starts – all these things worked a treat. Now if you could just train the kids to tidy their rooms for me….. Cressida x ”
